Artist Story

A photographer, explorer and storm chaser with a curious heart, my art seeks to reflect the power & harmony of the elements of the landscape:

Fire/Water/Ice

Earth\Air

Light/Darkness

A Pacific Northwest native, I was raised in a family of falconers and fishermen and from an early age was drawn to the beauty in wild things and nature's design. The diverse terrain and dynamic weather of the Northwest offer an abundance of photographic opportunities, and I began toting a camera along on my hikes and travels. Continued immersion in photography and meeting a vibrant community of like minded creatives and supportive mentors became a catalyst into the field of landscape photography in 2015.  An explorer at heart, you can find me out when the weather is most interesting, or volatile...most frequently out in the mountains, or under the meso.  Seeking to unite a vision of a subject in specific lighting and environmental conditions throughout the seasons is part of the fun, challenge, and my artistic vision.

Living in Seattle, the Emerald City also offers a spectacular view of Mount Rainier and the skyline, and I am regularly exploring new ways to view my home city through the lens.

In addition to a love of nature and exploration, community building efforts and developing opportunities for empowerment for female photographers in the field is a passion.  Aspiring to create a forum open to all genres and levels of experience where female photographers can build camaraderie, collaborate and grow in their art, I founded the Pacific Northwest Women’s Photography Club in 2017.  This community has grown to over 4,000 members and to further this cause internationally I've recently endeavored into a partnership, Venturous Woman Photography, with an incredible team of Canadian female creatives. I look forward to sharing more of this story.
